One method, different fields of colour and mark.

Each painting begins on Baltic birch and passes through the same sequence: stain, bleach, transparent ground, five glazes, large initial marks, five further glazes, then successive smaller marks and highlights. The archive records how that structure changes with palette, density, and the placement of light.
