Overlapping blue-green, grey, cream, and off-white marks cover the panel with similar intensity from edge to edge. Larger strokes remain visible beneath smaller pale passages, while occasional pink, yellow, and dark violet marks interrupt the cool field.
Artist's note
Baylis intentionally made this painting without a dominant focal point, so the eye continues to move across the surface.
