Stained and bleached panel, transparent gesso, five transparent glazes, large initial marks, five further glazes, then smaller marks and highlights.

Artwork note

Across a cool field of blue-grey, green, cream, and near-black, thousands of rounded brushstrokes gather most densely through the centre and lower half. Pale marks overlap into a broad, irregular passage, interrupted by smaller openings of dark teal and charcoal. Around the upper edge and perimeter, larger marks and wider gaps remain visible, making the changes in scale and density legible across the panel.
